County Executive Adam Bello Announces $1.4 Million ARPA Investment to Help People Who Struggle with Reliable Transportation to and from Work
Project Ride serves low-income individuals with significant transportation barriers to getting or holding a job
ROCHESTER, NY — Monroe County Executive Adam Bello today announced a $1.4 million allocation of American Rescue Plan Act funds to Beyond the Sanctuary through the Department of Human Services to help Monroe County residents overcome transportation barriers to get to work. The workforce development program, called “Project Ride,” offers a range of services, including vocational training, job placement, and financial assistance for transportation-related expenses.

BTS Board Chair Essie Calhoun-McDavid and BTS President & Executive Director joined Geva Theatre and the City of Rochester leadership in announcing Geva Pass-- a program that aims to expand attendance of Rochester residents at Geva Theatre productions by providing free tickets to residents in ZIP codes 14621, 14605, 14608, 14611, 14619, 14606, 14613, 14615, and 14616.
